I like to draw your attention to this simple but profoundly important health topic.
Earth’s surface is full of free electrons giving it a negative charge. When any part of our body
touches the earth’s surface directly, these free electrons get transferred to the body and are distributed all over the body, neutralizing the free radicals (FRs) and also bringing down the elevated body voltage.
In our history we humans roamed the earth with no foot wear, earthing our bodies all the time.
However since modern man started wearing foot wear, prevented us from direct contact with earth, thereby preventing the entry of free electrons to our bodies.
FRs are formed inside the body all the time, when glucose is burnt in the presence of oxygen to provide the energy for the body to maintain life.
The FRs produced inside the body are looking for electrons all the time to get them neutralized. If antioxidants are not available they start attacking cells in the body causing major health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, dementias, etc. In addition it also results in premature aging.
The commonest way by which we get rid of FRs is through antioxidants which we obtain from
our food, mainly through vegetables, fruits, plain tea etc. Earthing is said to be the simplest, easiest and most inexpensive way of destroying FRs by loading our bodies with free electrons.
Earthing has also been found to boost the valgus nerve which innervates all organs inside the body including the heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys, etc. plus the entire digestive tract, from esophagus to part of the colon, calming and improving their activities (This is in contrast to stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system which happens when we are under stress).
Earthing is also very effective in resolving inflammation, which was clearly demonstrated in 20 case studies using infrared imaging cameras. Among diabetic patients with chronic skin ulcers earthing helped them in speedy wound healing.
Inside modern buildings and houses we are surrounded with electrical equipment resulting in
the creation of electric and electromagnetic fields which electrify us raising our body voltage. This was clearly demonstrated in a study (quoted by Gaetan Chevalier et. al) among 12 subjects from such an environment where their average body voltage was found to be 3.27 volts! Simply by earthing, their average body voltage dropped to 0.007 volts, a 467 fold drop in body voltage!
Gaetan Chevalier et. al reporting in the Journal of Environmental and Public Health, says
“Emerging evidence shows that contact with the Earth—whether being outside barefoot or indoors connected to grounded conductive systems—may be a simple, natural, and yet profoundly effective environmental strategy against chronic stress, ANS dysfunction, inflammation, pain, poor sleep, disturbed HRV (Heart Rate Variability), hypercoagulable blood, and many common health disorders, including cardiovascular disease. The research done to date supports the concept that grounding or earthing the human body may be an essential element in the health equation along with sunshine, clean air and water, nutritious food, and physical activity”.
Thickening of blood due to red blood cells sticking together increases the viscosity of blood making it a risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. Often anti-coagulants are prescribed to such patients to thin their blood. Grounding is a natural way to thin the blood as the surfaces of red blood cells get negatively charged due to free electrons, repelling red blood cells from one another, reducing the viscosity and hence thinning the blood.
This goes to show the numerous health problems we face today due to the buildup of a high
electrical voltage inside our bodies due to living in an electrically charged environment, which could easily be neutralized by earthing.
An ideal place for earthing is by walking or lying down on the sea beach. The wet sea sand with its salt and magnesium facilitates the entry of free electrons into the body. Walking or lying down on wet grass or sand is also effective. Inside buildings/houses by keeping your feet on an earthing pad you could get yourself earthed. Now, even earthing mattresses and sheets are available. The latter will help one to be grounded during one’s entire sleep. Using earthing equipment indoors is more feasible as one would also be avoiding exposure to mosquitoes that transmit Dengue fever.
A word of caution: one should refrain from earthing when there is lightning.
